Hello, my name is ben!
I am a graphic designer and web creator based between Toronto and Owen Sound Ontario, Canada.
I made this website for people who would like to know more about me and my work :)

Lets begin!
I (me/ben) was born on August 10, 1993 in Kitchener Ontario, Canada.
I was raised on a pig farm in Winterbourn and Fergus Ontario, Canada.
I moved to Waterloo Ontario, Canada (home of the Blackberry) in high school and attended Bluevale Collegiate Institute. Around this time I developed an appreciation for graffiti and illustration.
After high school I moved to Banff Alberta, Canada with two of my best buds.
After the winter sneez’en I moved back to Ontario eventually settling down in Kimberley Ontario, Canada.
After moving back to my home province I started a new job at Beaver Valley Orchard and Cidery.
I worked there for six (happy) years...
In 2019 I decided to enroll to the Haliburton School of Art + Design.
In 2022 I recieved my Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design (where it hangs above my desk).
Prior to recieving my diploma—I completed a two month long Internship at Barr Gilmore Art + Design.
Projects I worked on include the Scotiabank Photography Award Book: Jin-me Yoon, Scott Burton's Garden Court, Jack Bush Paintings: A Catalouge Raisonné.
After completing my internship (and Adv Diploma) in the summer of 2022, I transferred to the Interaction Design program at Sheridan College.
It was here that I learned to code responsive websites using CSS, HTML (and some JavaScript).
After my second year in study at Sheridan College, I decided to take a step back to reevaluate my goals and ambitions.
Since then, I have been operating as a freelance graphic designer and production assistant (mostly in the winter) and work as a gardener/farmer in the warmer months.
Even though I love working outside, my goal is to secure a position as a graphic designer eventually hopefully somewhere...
in short, I am currently open to work!
